FLOAT – Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings, classes, private sessions, events and studio rentals provided by FLOAT. By making a booking, purchasing a service or using the FLOAT studio, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Bookings & Payment

Bookings for classes and studio rentals can be made through the FLOAT website and booking system.

All prices are displayed in Swiss francs (CHF). The price and duration shown at the time of booking apply to the selected service.

Unless otherwise stated, payment is required in full at the time of booking. A booking is confirmed once the booking process has been successfully completed and a confirmation has been issued.

Private sessions, special events, workshops and studio rentals longer than four hours are arranged individually and are only confirmed once FLOAT has approved the request and any applicable payment requirements have been fulfilled.

2. Group Classes

Places in group classes are limited and must be booked in advance.

Clients are responsible for selecting a class appropriate to their level and following the instructions of the instructor.

Please arrive on time and allow sufficient time to prepare before the class begins. Late arrival does not extend the duration of the class.

FLOAT reserves the right to make reasonable changes to instructors, schedules or class formats where necessary.

3. Cancellation – Group Classes

Group classes may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 6 hours before the scheduled start time.

Cancellations made less than 6 hours before the class and no-shows are charged in full or result in the loss of the applicable class credit.

If FLOAT cancels a class, the affected booking will be refunded or credited/rescheduled as appropriate.

4. Studio Rentals

Studio rentals are for the duration and purpose specified in the booking.

The booked rental period includes arrival, setup, training/use of the studio, cleaning and departure. Renters must leave the studio by the end of their reserved time.

A 5-minute buffer is scheduled between rentals to allow the space to be prepared for the next booking. This buffer is not additional rental time.

The number of people using the studio must not exceed the capacity of the booked rental option.

The studio may only be used for the purpose stated or reasonably implied by the booking. Activities requiring special equipment, unusual installations or uses that may pose additional risks must be approved by FLOAT in advance.

5. Cancellation – Studio Rentals

Studio rentals may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the booking and no-shows are charged in full.

Late arrival does not extend the rental period.

6. Studio Care & Cleaning

Renters are expected to treat the studio, equipment and shared areas with care.

Before leaving, renters must:

  • return equipment to its original place;

  • clean poles and mats after use where applicable;

  • leave the floor and studio reasonably clean and tidy;

  • wash, dry and put away any dishes used;

  • leave the kitchenette and sink clean;

  • dispose of rubbish appropriately;

  • close windows;

  • switch off applicable lights and equipment;

  • leave the toilet clean;

  • take all personal belongings; and

  • return the studio key as instructed.

The studio must be left in substantially the same condition in which it was found.

Any damage, malfunction or safety concern must be reported to FLOAT as soon as possible.

Where damage is caused through misuse, negligence or failure to follow studio instructions, FLOAT may seek reimbursement of reasonable repair or replacement costs from the responsible renter, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

7. Pole Use & Safety

The poles and associated equipment must be used responsibly and according to the studio's safety instructions.

Renters may use the designated mechanism to switch poles between static and spinning modes where permitted.

Renters must not loosen, tighten, dismantle, reposition, remove or otherwise alter the pole installation.

If a pole feels unstable, moves unexpectedly, appears damaged or does not function normally, use must stop immediately and FLOAT must be informed.

Appropriate safety mats should be used where appropriate for the activity being performed.

Renters and participants are responsible for practising within their own abilities and experience.

8. Equipment & Studio Features

Studio equipment must only be used for its intended purpose.

Special care must be taken when using the sliding mirror. It must be moved slowly and carefully and must not be forced, leaned against or otherwise misused.

Any provided lighting, sound equipment or other studio controls should be used responsibly. Settings or devices must not be reset, removed or reconfigured without permission.

9. Private Sessions & Events

Private classes, bachelorette events, workshops, group experiences and other special bookings are arranged individually.

Prices, duration, participant numbers, cancellation conditions and any deposits or advance payments may vary depending on the booking.

Any specific conditions communicated and accepted for a private event or special booking form part of the agreement between the client and FLOAT.

10. Health & Participation

Physical activity, including flexibility training, dance and pole, involves inherent risks.

Participants are responsible for assessing whether they are able to participate safely and for informing the instructor of any relevant limitations before participating.

Participants should stop immediately and inform the instructor if they experience pain, dizziness, unusual discomfort or another issue that may affect safe participation.

FLOAT instructors may modify or stop a participant's activity where reasonably necessary for safety.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would not be permitted under applicable law.

11. Independent Instructors & Renters

Individuals renting the studio to teach their own clients or classes are responsible for the activities and instruction they provide and for ensuring that they hold any qualifications, insurance, permissions or other requirements applicable to their activities.

A studio rental does not constitute employment, partnership or endorsement by FLOAT.

Renters are responsible for ensuring that their participants follow the applicable studio and safety rules.

12. Personal Belongings

Participants and renters are responsible for their personal belongings.

Please check the studio carefully before leaving. Lost property may be retained temporarily where practicable, but FLOAT cannot guarantee the storage or recovery of forgotten items.

13. Access & Keys

Where a key, access code or other means of access is provided, it may only be used for the relevant booking and must not be shared with unauthorised persons.

Keys must be returned according to the instructions provided by FLOAT immediately after the booking.

Loss of a key or damage caused by improper access must be reported immediately. Reasonable replacement costs resulting from the renter's actions may be charged where legally permissible.

14. Photography & Content Creation

Photography and filming for personal or professional content are permitted where consistent with the booked use of the studio.

Other people may only be photographed or filmed with their permission.

Commercial productions, large-scale shoots or activities involving substantial additional equipment should be discussed with FLOAT before booking.

15. Changes or Cancellations by FLOAT

In exceptional circumstances, FLOAT may need to change or cancel a booking due to illness, maintenance, safety concerns, building issues or other circumstances affecting the ability to provide the service.

Where FLOAT cancels a paid booking and no suitable alternative is agreed, the amount paid for the affected service will be refunded or credited as appropriate.

16. Behaviour & Respect for the Space

FLOAT is intended to provide a welcoming and respectful environment.

Clients, renters and guests must behave respectfully toward instructors, other participants, neighbouring tenants and the studio.

Unsafe behaviour, deliberate misuse of equipment, serious disruption or failure to follow reasonable safety instructions may result in the person being required to stop the activity or leave the studio.

17. Privacy

Personal data collected through the FLOAT website, contact forms and booking system is processed in accordance with the FLOAT Privacy Policy and applicable Swiss data protection law.

The Privacy Policy is available separately on the FLOAT website.

18. Changes to These Terms

FLOAT may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version applicable to a booking is the version made available to the client in connection with that booking, subject to any individually agreed conditions.

19. Applicable Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Swiss law.

Any mandatory rights regarding jurisdiction, including rights applicable to consumers, remain unaffected. Swiss federal SME guidance specifically notes that consumers cannot waive certain jurisdiction rights in advance. SME Portal
